Ernest and May Allison, great-grandparents of the present family, ran a transport company in the 1940’s and began the family legacy towards the company that you see today, firstly, by opening a residential park on the Thorney Road site. The Park still exists today, located behind the centre at Eye, where up to 100 homes are permanently occupied by their owners. The land was later bought by Ted Allison’s son-in-law John Norris who, with his wife Thelma, ventured into caravan sales and were joined in the following years by their children to help run the growing business.
Fully Refurbished Showroom
Over the following decades Pioneer Caravans continued to expand their operations, opening a large indoor showroom at Eye, with the outdoor show area today housing over 100 new and used touring caravans, together with motor homes and static caravans.
We will normally stock over 125 new and used motorhomes and touring caravans at our purpose-built showroom in Cambridgeshire as well as a selection of static caravans to view.
